Chase Young could make his San Francisco 49ers' debut this week following his blockbuster trade from the Washington Commanders.

He will practice for the first time on Monday, and now it is known what number he will wear when he takes his first steps on the field at the team's performance facility.

Young will wear the number 92 for the 49ers, it was revealed on Monday.

He wore 99 for the Commanders, but that jersey is occupied by defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw.

Kerry Hyder Jr. previously wore 92 this season, but he was released by the 49ers following their trade for Randy Gregory.

Of the 49ers to wear 92, Tim Harris was the most productive, racking up 17 sacks in the 1992 season. Troy Wilson wore the number the last time the 49ers won the Super Bowl in the 1994 season, while Roy Barker had two 12-sack seasons between 1996 and 1998 wearing it.

Young already has five sacks this season for the Commanders, if he can reach double digits in his new number for the 49ers, the trade will likely be considered a successful one for San Francisco.
