Christian McCaffrey was already the frontrunner to win the Offensive Player of the Year award for the first time in his career.
And the San Francisco 49ers star saw his case strengthened on Thursday as he was named as the NFC's Offensive Player of the Month for December/January.
It is his second Player of the Month award of the season, McCaffrey having also claimed the honor in September.
He is the first running back to win multiple Player of the Month awards since Jonathan Taylor in 2021.
McCafrrey now has four Player of the Month honors to his name for his career, achieving that feat after racking up 695 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns across the final six games of the season. He did not play in Week 18.
The former Carolina Panthers back led the NFL with 139 scrimmage yards per game between Week 13 and Week 18.
McCaffrey finished the season with 2,023 yards from scrimmage and 21 touchdowns, leading the NFL in both categories. He also finished as the NFL's rushing champion, become the first 49ers player since Joe 'The Jet' Perry in 1954 to achieve that feat.
At -300, McCaffrey is a heavy favorite for Offensive Player of the Year ahead of Tyreek Hill (+175) of the Miami Dolphins, per Fanduel Sportsbook.
If he wins Offensive Player of the Year, McCaffrey would become the first 49ers player to do so since Jerry Rice in 1993.
