Dec 17, 2023; Glendale, Arizona, USA; San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (19) celebrates with San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (85) after scoring a touchdown during the first quarter against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium.

For George Kittle, the pain of his alma mater Iowa's defeat in the National Championship Game of the women's NCAA Tournament will be doubled by the fact that he now has to make good on a bet with Deebo Samuel.

The two San Francisco 49ers superstars had a friendly wager on Sunday's finale between the Hawkeyes and Samuel's alma mater South Carolina.

Samuel recently confirmed the stakes on an appearance on Bleacher Report's 'Courtside Couch', with the loser forced to wear the opposing team's jersey to a game during the 49ers' 2024 regular season.

Kittle will have to prepare to wear a Gamecocks jersey after undefeated South Carolina knocked off Iowa 87-75.

For Samuel, the win caps a weekend in which he has made a habit of getting the better of his teammates.

Samuel and linebacker Fred Warner threw out the ceremonial first pitches at the San Francisco Giants' home opener on Friday. Neither covered themselves in any glory but, unlike Warner, Samuel was at least able to get his effort to his catcher.

His victory over Kittle was a lot more clear cut, and it's one he'll surely revel in when the 49ers return to start their offseason workout program this month.
