49ers don't plan on trading key WR Brandon Aiyuk anytime soon

The San Francisco 49ers have one of the NFL's most underrated receiving duos in Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk.
And apparently, there are a few NFL teams that are trying to split the duo up.
The 49ers, however, aren't letting that happen. For now, at least.
Per ESPN's Nick Wagoner, the 49ers have received interest from teams hoping they'd trade Aiyuk, but the 49ers aren't interested, right now. Things could change next year, however, as Wagoner points out:
49ers could score big by trading Aiyuk
The 49ers would be silly to trade Aiyuk, but let's play devil's advocate for a moment.
We all know that the free agent class and the draft class is weak when it comes to the wide receiver position. Outside of a few prospects, teams are largely holding their noses when it comes to trying to find impact players out of the gate. There are simply too many questions all over the board.
That's not the case with Aiyuk, however. He is an ascending star in the NFL and, he is very affordable. The 49ers' former first-rounder just completed his third year in the NFL and will count just a little more than $2.3 million against the cap for whatever team that receives him in a hypothetical trade. Aiyuk's fifth-year option is currently projected to $14.124 million in 2024, which is also very affordable for the type of player he should develop into by then.
There's a very good chance the 49ers could net a good haul for Aiyuk. NFL teams will pony up for a young, ascending wideout coming off a 1,000+ yard receiving season that also featured eight receiving touchdowns. And, as we all know, the 49ers don't pick until the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. They could easily use the extra pick(s).
“It’s interesting when you’re at these league functions,” John Lynch said Monday. “Ownership meetings, combine. A lot of people ask about him. They really appreciate his game. And they see it ascending.”
Now, all of the above can easily be shaped into why the 49ers should keep Aiyuk and to reiterate: they definitely should.
But, it may not be the worse idea to take some more calls and see just how desperate another team can get.
