The San Francisco 49ers face a talented Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive front on Sunday, and they head into test with much-needed continuity on the offensive line.

San Francisco started the week not knowing if right tackle Colton McKivitz would be able to play because of ankle and knee issues, while the condition of All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams' ankle was still a subject of some concern, albeit substantially decreased from the week before, after he played in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars despite only being at, in his words, 75 to 80 percent.

However, both are in line to feature on Sunday as the Niners attempt to keep Brock Purdy away from the likes of Vita Vea, Shaquil Barrett and Calijah Kancey and hold up against a Buccaneers defense that will send a lot of blitzes in his direction.

Injury report observations

Williams practiced in full for the second straight day, and he was joined by McKivitz on Friday, with both San Francisco's starting tackles off the injury report.

It means the 49ers can roll with the same offensive line that pitched a clean game against the Jaguars, not allowing a single sack. The only absentee from the starting O-Line is left guard Aaron Banks, ruled out for a second successive game with turf toe.

Banks has a chance to make his return for the Thanksgiving game with the Seattle Seahawks next week, one in which the 49ers will look to establish a firm stranglehold on the NFC West.

That game is unlikely to feature any of the three players in the middle of their 21-day practice windows after being designated to return. Samuel Womack III, Robert Beal Jr and Darrell Luter Jr do not appear set to be activated for this week's game and the short week for the divisional clash with Seattle makes doing so for that primetime clash difficult.

"They're coming along well," head coach Kyle Shanahan told his Friday press conference. "They've had two good weeks. It's nice to have them at practice. It's been nice having them this week. They've got another week left. Unfortunately, that week isn't the best week, being a Thursday night game. So yesterday was their main full-speed practice, but still got another week with them."

"They're all showing that they're healthy enough to play and stuff. It's getting back into it and having to figure out the roster with those guys."
