San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa (97) celebrates after sacking Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith (7) in the first quarter at Levi's Stadium.

Unsurprisingly after suffering another hip/oblique injury on Sunday, Nick Bosa will not practice for the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday ahead of a crucial matchup with the Green Bay Packers.

Bosa is dealing with injuries to both hips/obliques, having sustained his newest in the Niners' upset loss to the Seattle Seahawks, whose offense scored both its touchdowns after the star defensive end left the game.

Seattle's upturn on offense underlined why Bosa is so important to the 49ers, and why he will be given every chance to prove his fitness for the Week 12 matchup at Lambeau Field.

"I think he could be good for Sunday and he definitely could not be good for Sunday," head coach Kyle Shanahan said of his star pass rusher.

"That's why I don't think about it yet, it's similar to the Tampa week. When you've got guys who are hurting, I don't ask them if they're going to play. I don't ask them after the game on Sunday, I don't ask them Monday, when they're too hurt to practice on Wednesday.

"When it's a guy who hasn't done it before and they're a part of the gameplan, sometimes I'll tell guys 'you've got to start to get out there or we're gonna rule you out'.

"But when it comes to a guy like Bosa, when it comes to a guy like Trent [Williams], their position, the veterans they are, how they play. Those guys have all the way until kickoff for me. Towards the week I'll have a better feel and he'll have a better feel and that's when we'll discuss."

All-Pro left tackle Williams will also miss practice having battled through an ankle injury against Seattle, though he typically does not practice on Wednesdays. Christian McCaffrey will sit out, too, as the 49ers continue to manage his return from Achilles tendinitis.

Quarterback Brock Purdy, meanwhile, was projected to be limited on Shanahan's preliminary injury report. Purdy has been dealing with shoulder soreness but Shanahan termed his participation in practice as "good news".

Tight end George Kittle will be limited after missing the defeat to Seattle, while All-Pro corner Charvarius Ward is set to practice for the first time since the death of his one-year-old daughter. Ward has missed the last two games.

Rookie wide receiver Jacob Cowing will be limited as he goes through the concussion protocol.

Update: The 49ers later confirmed their full injury report.
