The San Francisco 49ers didn't quite have the stomach to finish a whole turkey on the field after their Thanksgiving blowout of the Seahawks, but George Kittle made sure none of it went to waste.
After San Francisco put Seattle to the sword with a 31-13 win at Lumen Field, a host of 49ers stars were invited by NBC to enjoy a post-game feast.
Save for Nick Bosa, the Niners were enthusiastic participants, the star defensive end saying: "It's the last thing I want after a game."
With Bosa not partaking, the 49ers couldn't finish the whole thing on the field, but tight end Kittle took the opportunity to share the food with the delighted San Francisco fans in attendance, running to the tunnel with the turkey and tossing legs into the stands.
The turkey might not have been to Bosa's taste, but for linebacker Fred Warner the opportunity to enjoy a meal on Seattle's field was one he relished.
Speaking in his post-game press conference, Warner said: "It wasn't too bad. It's a moment I'll remember forever."
Christian McCaffrey was more effusive in his praise of the food, saying: "It was actually really good turkey. I was bummed I didn't get the sweet potato with the marshmallows."
Nine years on from the Seahawks eating turkey on the 49er logo at Levi's Stadium, the sight of the Niners stars getting the chance to do the same and then sharing the meal with the traveling support will have delighted San Francisco fans desperate to make the pain of previous matchups with Seattle a thing of the past.
With four successive wins over the Seahawks across the regular season and playoffs, this 49ers vintage is doing just that.
