The San Francisco 49ers didn't get the Friday boost they were hoping for in their final practice before the Week 14 meeting with the Seattle Seahawks, with two starters set to miss out through injury.

Defensive tackle Arik Armstead was already effectively ruled out earlier this week by head coach Kyle Shanahan because of foot and knee injuries, and the Niners made it official on Friday. There will almost certainly be another starter on the other side of the trenches joining him on the sideline.

Right guard Spencer Burford missed practice for the third straight game and was subsequently listed as doubtful, meaning he is primed to miss the rematch with Seattle having also been absent for the 49ers' road win over the Seahawks in Week 12.

Injury report observations

With likely no Burford, veteran Jon Feliciano will start at right guard.

Feliciano has proven a reliable backup this season, playing on both the left and right side during his three games in the lineup.

He impressed during those starts, allowing eight pressures but only one quarterback hit and zero sacks, per Pro Football Focus.

With Elijah Mitchell struggling to shake off a knee problem, Jordan Mason is poised to be the primary backup for Christian McCaffrey in the backfield, with one of Tyrion Davis-Price or Jeremy McNichols likely to be elevated from the practice squad to serve as RB3.

Davis-Price was released from the 53-man roster this week to make room for veteran safety Logan Ryan, however, the 2022 third-round pick was promptly added back to the practice squad.

With Ray-Ray McCloud out for the second successive week, Ronnie Bell will serve as the 49ers' kick returner.

Rookie cornerback Darrell Luter Jr. was expected to miss out with his hamstring issue and did not take part in any practice this week.
