The San Francisco 49ers' injury report will be the subject of significant scrutiny this week as they prepare to attempt to get back to winning ways against the Minnesota Vikings.
San Francisco had to process its first defeat of the season following last Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns and on Monday had to wait on the results of injury assessments for three of their most important players on the offensive side of the ball, Deebo Samuel (shoulder), Christian McCaffrey (oblique) and Trent Williams (ankle).
Yet every update since Samuel and McCaffrey left the game against Cleveland, one which Williams battled through, has been a positive one. While the Niners' injury report is longer than they would like, San Francisco does still appear to be in excellent shape to bounce back with a road victory in primetime on Monday night.

Injury report observations
Samuel, McCaffrey and Williams are all considered day to day, which is excellent news for the 49ers considering how bad it looked when Samuel and McCaffrey each left the game and Williams showed up at his post-game press conference in a walking boot.
McCaffrey's injury was initially listed as a rib/oblique problem. However, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed in his Thursday press conference that an MRI had revealed he is only dealing with the latter.
That should offer another dose of encouragement to the 49ers that all three of the offensive stars injured on a gray and gut-wrenching afternoon in northeast Ohio could be on the field under the U.S. Bank Stadium lights on Monday.
Williams' partner on the left side of the line also missed practice and, if Aaron Banks' ankle injury keeps him on the sideline, veteran Jon Feliciano will be expected to step into the fray. Feliciano is dependable, but San Francisco would likely rather avoid too much upheaval in the trenches against a Minnesota defense sure to throw a lot of blitzes at Brock Purdy.
Linebacker Dre Greenlaw missed the defeat to the Browns and was again absent on Thursday, however, he is expected to return to practice at some stage before the 49ers travel to Minneapolis.
Deommodore Lenoir would likely slide inside and play the nickel cornerback role if Isaiah Oliver's knee injury keeps him out, but the fact the former Atlanta Falcons draft pick was still able to practice in a limited capacity indicates he will likely be healthy enough to face Kirk Cousins and Co.
