The opening week of the NFL season was one filled with good news for the 49ers as they finally signed Nick Bosa to a contract extension and capped things off with a dominant victory over the Steelers on Sunday.
And the positives stretched into Monday as head coach Kyle Shanahan provided an injury update on Monday's conference call.
The 49ers came out of their 30-7 blowout of the Steelers with no additional injuries to report.
San Francisco's only concern at the end of their one-sided opener was cornerback Ambry Thomas going into the concussion protocol.
However, Shanahan confirmed that Thomas, who played 34 snaps in the opener, had cleared the protocol.
The 49ers arguably came out of Week 1 looking like the best team in the league from top to bottom, with San Francisco excelling in all three phases against Pittsburgh.
Their ability to maintain that kind of standard will depend largely on the health of a team that has regularly had to overcome rotten injury luck. In that respect, it's so far so good for the Niners with one game in the books.

The Niners are heavy favorites.
