The San Francisco 49ers have not tasted victory since Week 5, but there appears to be a surprising amount of confidence they will end that run against a Jacksonville Jaguars team that has won four in a row.

San Francisco will return from its bye to face the Jags on the road in Week 10 hoping to bring a three-game losing streak to a halt.

Despite the contrasting recent fortunes of the two teams, it is the 49ers who are favored to prevail on the road. Per betonline.ag, the Niners are 2.5-point favorites to get back to winning ways and improve to 6-3.

It means the Niners have still not been an underdog for any game this season, with their status as a Super Bowl contender unaffected by recent struggles.

Of course, being the favorite meant little over the course of their previous three games, with the Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals all upsetting the odds to beat the 49ers in successive weeks.

The AFC South-leading Jags, with Trevor Lawrence at quarterback and a top-five defense, have the ingredients to do the same coming of a Week 9 bye of their own.

San Francisco has had chance to regroup and added a premier defensive weapon in Chase Young at the trade deadline, but the 49ers will be taking absolutely nothing as a given when they make the cross-country trip for another tricky matchup.
