49ers WR Jauan Jennings gives one-word answer to calm down fans who are concerned about his injury situation
He expects to be back soon.
Jauan Jennings is a man of many talents. He can block. He can pick up third downs. He is simply reliable. For the San Francisco 49ers, there was plenty of concern when he went down with another injury during the team’s Week 4 matchup.
Luckily, the WR is not concerned about his injury situation. Instead, he’s confident in his return sooner than later for San Francisco.
Jauan Jennings expects to be back for Week 5
Jennings left the game after a painful 2-point conversion for the wideout. The veteran wideout was short and simple in his response to whether or not his availability is in question for Week 5.
“Nah.” — Jauan Jennings
The one-word answer should instill some confidence in the fans and his team that he will be healthy enough to play in Week 5, but his mounting injuries are definitely concerning. Jennings has consistently been banged up throughout his 49ers career, but San Fran currently has other WR ailments to worry about, too.
Ricky Pearsall missed practice time this past week and also left SF’s Week 4 game due to injury. Brandon Aiyuk is still on the shelf as he recovers from his torn ACL. The depth is being put to the test week in and week out for the 49ers, and Jennings has been arguably the most consistent wideout in the offense so far this year.
Keep in mind – George Kittle is also currently on injured reserve, set to miss at least two more games. Quarterback Brock Purdy is dealing with multiple injuries but did return to the field for the team’s Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Purdy is clearly playing through those issues.
Regardless, keep an eye on Jennings’ practice statuses this week. The hit he sustained this weekend was a tough one, but hopefully, he’s able to bounce back sooner than later for the 49ers offense.
