A new 2026 NFL mock draft has the 49ers landing a player that would be a home run selection.
Just one look at the San Francisco 49ers injury list from the 2025 season, and it’s hard not to feel like winning double-digit games and earning a playoff birth wasn’t a successful year.
The team expects to compete to win the Super Bowl every year, so you don’t see them happy with a moral victory. To make things worse, their NFC West rivals, the Seattle Seahawks, are set to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
I expect the group to use the hurdles they faced in 2025 as extra motivation this offseason, as they look to ace free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft. A new A to Z Sports mock draft had the team add some offensive firepower in the form of a player who, in my opinion, isn’t getting enough love.
49ers select Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion in a new mock draft

Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion is viewed by many as a fringe first-round prospect in this year’s draft class. The 5-11 WR can play on the outside or in the slot and is one of, if not the best, pure separators in the class. The 49ers already needed help at WR, but their reported plan to release Brandon Aiyuk intensifies that need.
Concepcion was a weapon for the Aggies this past year, recording 61 receptions, 919 yards, and nine touchdowns. He isn’t often ranked as a top-five WR in the class, but he belongs in that conversation. I believe he has star potential at the NFL level and would be a home-run selection for San Francisco.
