It has been nearly a decade since Frank Gore suited up to play for the San Francisco 49ers.
He started his career off in San Francisco and played there for 10 seasons. In that stint, he earned second-team All-Pro honors, as well as five Pro Bowl nods.
As most know, Gore's career didn't end in San Francisco. He also played for six more years with stops in Indianapolis, Miami, Buffalo and with the New York Jets.
His story in San Francisco isn't over, however.
Gore recently became a member of the 49ers front office. His title isn't completely specified, but ESPN reported he will serve in the "football advisor category".
Gore played in the NFL for 16 seasons and racked up exactly 16,000 rushing yards and 81 rushing touchdowns while averaging 4.3 yards a clip. He's easily one of the best running backs in NFL history and is third all-time when it comes to leading rushers in league history.
