Nick Bosa was able to play in the San Francisco 49ers' thrilling 23-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10, but it was clear he wasn't his usual self.

The Niners' star defensive end had been questionable with a hip pointer he suffered in Wednesday's practice, and Bosa clearly had some struggles with that issue during the game.

Bosa struggled to impact the game as a pass rusher until he recorded a fourth-quarter sack of Baker Mayfield and also had problems playing the run to his usual standard.

After the game, Bosa conceded the injury did slow him down and did not rule out the possibility that he might have aggravated it.

"It was a factor," Bosa said in a typically succinct postgame press conference.

"I knew I could push through without it getting too much worse, but definitely evaluate tomorrow."

His words are not exactly reassuring as the 49ers turn the page from a challenging road game to a key divisional clash against a Seattle Seahawks team that will be coming off the bye.

Bosa has a history of dominating the Seahawks during his career, and his presence will be much needed if the 49ers are to hold Geno Smith and an explosive Seattle offense in check.

Rest will therefore likely be the order of the week for Bosa, who can likely look forward to a light week of practice as the Niners look to have him ready for the latest edition of their rivalry with Seattle.
