An NFC West clash between the 49ers and the Rams drew the top broadcast crews in the game as recently as last year.

But with the Rams widely thought to be in the midst of a rebuild, that will not be the case on Sunday at SoFi Stadium.

The game is being broadcast on Fox at 4:05 p.m. ET and, though the 49ers and the Rams aren't getting the number one crew of Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen as they did last year, they are getting an underrated one.

Kevin Kugler will be calling the game alongside Mark Sanchez with Laura Okmin serving as the sideline reporter.

While they are officially Fox's number five broadcast crew, fans not in the stadium will at least be treated to enthusiastic and often insightful analysis from Sanchez.

The former fifth overall pick has a strong understanding of the Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay offenses and, given how well quarterbacks Brock Purdy and Matthew Stafford played in their respective Week 1 victories, there could be plenty for him to enjoy in a game the 49ers are expected to win handily.

San Francisco and Los Angeles might not be getting the respect of having the top crew, but 49ers and Rams fans are at least getting a color commentator who should be able to enhance the experience of a matchup that has consistently provided entertainment.
