The San Francisco 49ers made a series of roster moves ahead of the Thanksgiving clash with the Seattle Seahawks, two of which point to Brock Purdy being without both of his starting guards for a crucial primetime duel.

San Francisco elevated offensive linemen Corey Luciano and Jesse Davis from the practice squad to the active roster. Rookie Luciano is a center but also played guard in college at Washington. Veteran Davis brings guard-tackle versatility.

Their elevations come as both right guard Spencer Burford (knee) and left guard Aaron Banks (toe) are listed as questionable. Burford has not practiced all week while Banks, who has missed the last two games with turf toe, was limited on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

If both are out, then Davis would appear to be the favorite to step in. He has substantial experience in the pros at right guard and his presence would allow Jon Feliciano to stay at left guard, where he has played the last two weeks in Banks' absence.

Still, going into a game that could go a long way to deciding the NFC West with a practice squad offensive lineman starting at guard would be far from an ideal situation for Purdy and the red-hot 49ers offense.

In addition to those elevations, the 49ers activated cornerback Samuel Womack III from injured reserve and waived corner Shemar Jean-Charles.

Womack has not played since the season opener because of a knee injury.

Rookie edge rusher Robert Beal Jr (hamstring) has been downgraded from questionable to out, indicating he will likely not be activated from injured reserve before his 21-day practice window comes to an end. A redshirt year for the fifth-round pick is now the most probable outcome.
