George Kittle lived up to expectations on Thursday as he returned to practice for the San Francisco 49ers ahead of their Week 11 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.

But the boost the All-Pro tight end provided after missing Wednesday's practice with hamstring irritation was cancelled out somewhat by concerning news surrounding another of San Francisco's playmakers.

Having practiced in full on Wednesday, wide receiver Jauan Jennings was listed as limited with an ankle injury. Jennings returned from a hip injury in last week's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was crucial in setting up Jake Moody's game-winning field goal with two receptions on the final drive.

Jennings is second on the team behind Kittle with 497 receiving yards and any absence against Seattle would leave the 49ers extremely thin at receiver. Were he to miss the game, it would likely force rookie first-round pick Ricky Pearsall into a starting role.

Nick Bosa (hip) and Trent Williams (ankle) missed practice for the second successive day, but there is limited concern about them missing a critical game in the NFC West as the 49ers play it smart with some of their stars.

Cornerback Charvarius Ward remains away from the team following the death of his daughter. The 49ers have understandably allowed Ward to take as much time as he needs and Renardo Green will likely again start in his place having excelled doing so against the Bucs.

Punter Mitch Wishnowsky also missed a second successive practice with a back problem. Pat O'Donnell, signed to the practice squad this week, appears set to be elevated to fill in.

Christian McCaffrey was once again limited as the 49ers continue to manage him following his return from bilateral Achilles tendinitis.

Defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos looks primed to follow McCaffrey in making his return to the team. Gross-Matos, who has missed the last five games, had his practice window opened last week and enjoyed another full practice on Thursday.

With Bosa battling a painful hip pointer and defensive tackle Kevin Givens on course to miss a third consecutive game, the return of Gross-Matos, who can rush the passer from the interior as well as off the edge, would be an underrated boost to a 49er D-Line that does not have the same level of quality depth as in previous years.
