The San Francisco 49ers have long since been a national brand, and that brand is growing ever more popular with their run of sustained success under Kyle Shanahan.

Evidence of that point came on Monday when the NFLPA released its verified ranking of sales of all officially licensed NFL player products and merchandise for the 2023 league year.

The ranking of the top 50 players by merchandise sales features six members of the 49ers' star-studded roster.

Two of those players are in the top 10, with Christian McCaffrey fifth and Brock Purdy eighth.

George Kittle finished 16th, while Nick Bosa (23rd) and Deebo Samuel (26th) are also in the top 30. All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner ranked 40th.

Here's the top 10 in full:

  1. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts
  2. Eagles C Jason Kelce
  3. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes
  4. Chiefs TE Travis Kelce
  5. 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey
  6. Jets QB Aaron Rodgers
  7. Bengals QB Joe Burrow
  8. 49ers QB Brock Purdy
  9. Cowboys Edge Micah Parsons
  10. Vikings WR Justin Jefferson

Offensive Player of the Year and new Madden cover star McCaffrey can partially attribute not being even higher up the list to the growing interest of 'Swifties' in the NFL, along with the sheer popularity of the Kelce brothers and their 'New Heights' podcast.

Purdy's presence in the top eight is testament to how his incredible rise from last pick in the draft in 2022 to franchise quarterback for the NFC champions has resonated with fans. Assuming the arrow continues to point up, he'll likely remain a fixture at the top of this list for years to come.
