NFL Power Rankings: The 49ers are the team the league can't figure out

Even with the Dallas Cowboys replicating the San Francisco 49ers in making light work of the Philadelphia Eagles, there is no change at the top of the NFL power rankings.
The 49ers remain the class of the league, having moved into the NFC's top seed courtesy of their win over the Seattle Seahawks and the Cowboys' blowout of the Eagles. San Francisco is in a three-way tie with Dallas and Philadelphia but has the head-to-head tiebreaker over both.
San Francisco also became the first team to clinch a playoff place on Monday thanks to the New York Giants' surprise primetime win over the Green Bay Packers. The NFC West title will be clinched by a Week 15 win over the Arizona Cardinals or a Los Angeles Rams loss to the Washington Commanders and, as they enter a crucial final four games in the race for the one seed, there is one overriding question surrounding the Niners: just how do you stop them?
Conor Orr made clear his view that there is no answer to the 49ers when ranking them first in his power rankings for Sports Illustrated, San Francisco having racked up 527 yards of offense and produced 12 explosive plays in the 28-16 win over Seattle, which was only that close because of a pair of turnovers.

One aspect of this 49ers run that I’ve enjoyed has been the not-so-subtle cockiness. An observation from Sunday: Nick Bosa quickly leaping up after bringing down the quarterback to see whether or not it would count as a sack (and then pestering his coaches on the sidelines to confirm it). And then, Kyle Shanahan clearly calling the end around touchdown for Deebo Samuel after a long Samuel gain set the 49ers up in the short-yardage situation. And … no one can stop it!
Beyond the Christmas Day game with the AFC's one seed, the Baltimore Ravens, it's tough to make the argument that any of the remaining teams on the 49ers' schedule have the means to stop them.
The challenge for the 49ers, though, is to avoid buying into their own hype and ensure they take care of business as they look to win out and ensure they are able to rest on Wild Card weekend.
