There are still plenty of practices left, but the competition for the catch of 49ers training camp may already have been won by Willie Snead.

Snead ensured the 49ers finished something of a lackluster practice on a high in incredible fashion.

The journeyman receiver capped practice with a circus catch touchdown from Trey Lance.

It was a catch that saw him showcase tremendous concentration and hand strength to reel in the pass with one hand despite being plastered by second-year corner Samuel Womack III.

Snead had previously strolled in for another touchdown after catching a deep ball from fourth-string quarterback Brandon Allen.

Despite his prolific and eye-catching Saturday practice, Snead may still have a hard time making the 49ers' 53-man roster.

With Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings all locks, Snead is competing with the likes of Ray-Ray McCloud, Danny Gray, Ronnie Bell and Chris Conley for a roster spot.

Lacking the speed of McCloud and Gray and the return experience of the former, it is an uphill battle for Snead, but ending the week with this standout showing can only help his cause.
