The 49ers have made their frustrations about last season's NFC Championship Game clear, but Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown does not believe there is any lingering bad blood from that game, at least on the Philadelphia side.

Philadelphia eased to a 31-7 win over the Niners back in January in game in which San Francisco lost starting quarterback Brock Purdy on its first offensive series.

When a concussion to Josh Johnson left the 49ers without a healthy quarterback for most of the second half, the game was over as a contest, and several of San Francisco's playmakers have voiced their belief that the Niners would have prevailed if not for the injury to Purdy.

The 49ers will be eager to get a measure of revenge in Week 13 this season when they return to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in a game that could have huge implications in the NFC.

While the Niners will have plenty of fuel to prove they can defeat the Eagles, Brown does not see their rivalry as one defined by animosity.

He told NFL Network

"I think it's two really good organizations. One got a sour taste in their mouth, but I think (it's) two really good organizations. I don't think it's any bad blood on our side, but we respect them. Of course, they gonna come ready to play, that's gonna be a hard battle. Best team wins."

Of course, given the reputation Eagles fans have for creating an intimidating atmosphere at Lincoln Financial Field, it is likely to feel like there is plenty of bad blood when they face off on Dec. 3.

But the 49ers will be undaunted by the hostile welcome they will receive and will relish the chance to remove that sour taste from their mouths with what could be a crucial victory if both they and the Eagles are competing for NFC superiority as many expect.
