San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is a lot of things, but one of those things isn't underrated.

Aiyuk enjoyed a successful campaign in 2022, really emerging as a reliable offensive option in a loaded Niners offense.

And recently, a former Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones went as far as to compare Aiyuk to NFL star Davante Adams on The Carter Show.

"He's playing with confidence now, like he was in the doghouse first couple years even beginning of last season and you hear the confidence that the coaches have in him, the confidence that he has in himself. I'm gonna tell you right now if you turn on Brandon Aiyuk's tape he looks like Davante Adams," Jones said.

"He looks like Keenan Allen, he looks like Calvin Ridley, he has all that in his bag, he has it off the line of scrimmage, he has it in his route game, he is a special wide receive,r he gonna take off this year and he is going to be one of them guys that's going to get looked up there as being a top five receiver when this thing is all said and done."

Last season, Aiyuk had 78 catches for 1,015 yards and scored eight touchdowns in 17 games. He is expected to produce more for the 49ers this season and could play a significant role for the team.

Much of Aiyuk's success will come down to what quarterback is throwing him the ball. It isn't clear whether the Niners will have Brock Purdy in Week 1. And throughout offseason workouts, Sam Darnold and Trey Lance split first-team reps.

If he has a reliable quarterback throwing him the ball, last season's numbers could pale in comparison to what he could be able to do in the 2023 NFL season.
