The San Francisco 49ers have come nowhere close to matching the heights of last season's run to the Super Bowl, and it's becoming increasingly likely they will end the 2024 season outside of the playoffs.

Injuries and drop-offs in several key areas have contributed to a hugely disappointing season that has the 49ers last in the NFC West at 5-7 with five games to go.

But four of their players are still among the leading vote-getters for this year's Pro Bowl Games.

In the fan vote, which along with players and coaches' votes counts one third towards player selections for the All-Star event, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, tight end George Kittle, defensive end Nick Bosa and linebacker Fred Warner are all lead the way in votes among NFC players at their respective positions.

Kittle's presence at the top of the pile for tight ends is no surprise. He has been the 49ers' best offensive player this season, which has further solidified his reputation as the best all-around tight end in football. He has 649 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, with Kittle firmly on course for his fourth 1,000-yard campaign.

Juszczyk looks poised to earn a ninth Pro Bowl nod, with no player at his position possessing the same level of versatility in terms of what he can do as both a receiver and a blocker.

Bosa has missed the last two games through injury, but only Dante Fowler Jr (8.5) and Aidan Hutchinson (7.5) have more sacks this year among NFC edge rushers than his seven. Detroit Lions star Hutchinson is out for the season.

Warner, meanwhile, has seen a red hot start fade away as he has played on a broken ankle since Week 4. Still, among linebackers to have played at least 100 snaps, only Zack Baun has a higher Pro Football Focus grade. Even on only one good ankle, Warner is still one of the best defensive players in the game, and he is on track to be recognized as such.
