Madden ratings week is an exciting time of the year for fans and players alike. Throughout this week, Madden will unveil ratings for various position groups, and today's focus is on the crucial position of the edge rusher. As expected, Nick Bosa has claimed the top spot on the list.
While an impressive 98 overall rating is commendable, some may question why the reigning Defensive Player of the Year hasn't secured the highest-rated defender status in this year's game. As the rankings are still being released in parts, it's revealed that Aaron Donald currently holds the position of the highest-rated defender with a 99 overall ranking. Following closely behind are Myles Garrett and Nick Bosa, both tied at a 98 overall rating.
Madden has hyped up the "99 Club" for years now, and I believe it is about time Bosa joins that exclusive group.
Bosa is coming off an incredible 2022 NFL season, in which he led the league in sacks with 18.5, had 48 quarterback hits, forced two fumbles, and received 46 out of 50 first-place votes for DPOY.
Hopefully, Madden will soon realize just how special of a player Bosa really is.
