The San Francisco 49ers have made many notable changes already this offseason, with a very active free agency period.

Heading into the offseason, they knew that the WR room would look completely different, and they didn’t just stand by. Jauan Jennings and Brandon Aiyuk are both on their way out, and they quickly added future Hall of Famer Mike Evans in free agency.

Evans and Pearsall won’t be enough to make a run at the Super Bowl again, and the 49ers have targeted a certain profile at WR with their latest scheduled top-30 visits.

49ers scheduled top-30 visit with WR KC Concepcion

The 49ers currently hold the No. 27 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and only have six total picks to work with. They could likely use their first-round pick on a dynamic WR in KC Concepcion after scheduling a top-30 visit with him.

Concepcion is an explosive 5-11, 190-pound WR prospect who transferred to the SEC in his final season and ended his career as a first-round prospect. He had a career-high 919 receiving yards and averaged 15.1 yards per catch. Concepcion can stretch the field vertically with his speed and route-running ability, but he’s also dangerous with the ball in his hands on the short passes and averaged 7.2 yards after the catch.

Concepcion played mostly in the slot before he transferred to Texas A&M, but they used him primarily on the outside in 2025 to show his versatility. He’s also a demon on special teams, and well worth the No. 27 overall pick. Concepcion wasn’t the only WR they scheduled for a top-30 visit, however.

The 49ers also scheduled a top-30 visit with Indiana WR Omar Cooper Jr

The 49ers have a backup plan if Concepcion gets drafted before they’re on the clock, and it’s Indiana WR Omar Cooper Jr. He has been one of the fastest-rising prospects this offseason, and there’s an argument that he’s on the same tier as Concepcion.

Cooper Jr. will be visiting the 49ers for a top-30 visit as well, but they’re just one of many teams eyeing the national champion.

Cooper Jr. is a bigger slot WR at 6-0, 204 pounds, and he uses his size to his advantage. He can rise above defenders with his body control to high-point catches, but he also forced the fourth-most missed tackles in the country with 27. Cooper Jr. is as reliable as they come with zero career fumbles and just three drops at 91 targets this past season.

His speed, suddenness, and contact balance after the catch are the perfect fit for the 49ers as a lethal slot option in Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

The 49ers will have plenty of options on the board with the No. 27 overall pick, but there’s no doubt the WRs available will have their attention the most. These pre-draft visits will help them get a better idea of who they want to draft more, and then hope they fall to them as the picks come off the board.
