NFL Players disparage the San Francisco 49ers for small tubs

The NFL Players Association handed out its report cards on all 32 NFL teams, and the 49ers may have the worst tubs in the league.

The NFL Players Association discredits the lure of the San Francisco 49ers for a completely idiotic reason — the tubs are small.

Recently, the Players Association released their report cards of all 32 NFL teams. The teams were graded on eight distinct categories: treatment of families, food service/nutrition, weight room, strength coaches, training room, training staff, locker room, and team travel. And overall, the 49ers ranked seventh in the league (tied for fifth).

Though the grade was a net positive, when it came to the tubs with which players submerge themselves after games, they were viewed as far too small.

"The tubs and rehab pool are viewed as small and there are a lack of tables and space in the training room itself," the report reads.

Despite the small tubs, the 49ers received relatively positive praise throughout the report.

Most of the anonymous respondents were "positive in all but one section: the training room, a crucial area for players to rehab and recover."

What is also helping the 49ers is that the players who participated in the report believe that team owner Jed York is more than willing to upgrade the problematic aspects of the team's facilities.

There is a belief that investment will be made to ensure these areas are upgraded to meet the high standards set by the rest of the facilities," according to the report

It is honestly rather shocking that the 49ers didn't receive a worse grade. The team has been riddled with injuries, and it is easy to see how players could be weary of the franchise as a whole because of the misfortune. Yet, somehow, the training staff walked away with an A- grade.

Players didn't go easy on the rest of the NFC West, however. The Arizona Cardinals sat at 31st overall. Apparently, the 49ers' divisional foe has the worst weight room and some players actually feel like it is a safety hazard. The Cardinals also have an "outdated training room and locker room; and a policy of deducting dinner from players’ paychecks should players want to get food from the facility."

No wonder Kyler Murray doesn't want to put in the extra work there.

As for the Rams, that organization sits at 25th, according to the report. Most players praised Sean McVay and owner Stan Kroenke. But the players also felt like the practice facilities just weren't up to NFL standards.

Seattle slid in at 11th. The biggest complaint regarding the Seahawks was the lack of first-class flights. Shocking for an NFL team.

So, as it turns out, the 49ers' tubs may be small, but according to the players, San Francisco is still the best organization within the NFC West — on and off the field.
