The San Francisco 49ers rediscovered their brand of football in Week 10 as they ended a three-game losing streak in style with a 34-3 blowout win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

San Francisco dominated Jacksonville in all three phases to improve to 6-3 with a performance that reminded everybody why the 49ers entered the season regarded as the Super Bowl favorites in the eyes of many.

So impressive was the 49ers' display that only one team stands above them in the NFL power rankings put together by Conor Orr of SI.com coming out of Week 10.

In his blurb for the 49ers, Orr wrote:

"This 49ers team with Trent Williams and with a deep rotational pass rush is about as good as it gets. Brock Purdy throwing a touchdown to George Kittle almost completely blinded by a collapsing pocket should give his doubters a rest for one week at least."

The sole team above the second-ranked the 49ers is the one they face in a game that could define their season in Week 13, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Philadelphia had a bye in Week 10, but faces a tall order in Week 11, when the Eagles travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of Super Bowl 57.

With the 49ers heavily favored to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco could soon be just one game back of the Eagles in a three-way race for the number one seed including the Detroit Lions.

After their Week 8 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the 49ers' Super Bowl hopes appeared to be in significant jeopardy. Now, with all their stars back on offense and the arrival of Chase Young, combined with some successful tweaks, fueling a dominant defensive performance, they are potentially just a couple of weeks away from looking down on the Eagles in the power rankings and the playoff picture.
