Nick Bosa says he has yet to be fined for wearing a 'Make America Great Again' hat on camera following the San Francisco 49ers' win over the Dallas Cowboys.
But, following Donald Trump's presidential election victory over Kamala Harris on Tuesday, the 49ers' star edge rusher is happy to accept any potential sanction.
The NFL is said to be reviewing the incident, which would appear to violate the league's rules prohibiting players from wearing or displaying items that "relate to political activities or causes, other non-football events, causes or campaigns, or charitable causes or campaigns".
Bosa could be fined up to $11,255 for a first offense, but he sees that as a small price to play.
"I don't know, I haven't got one yet but if it comes, it comes," said Bosa of a possible fine.
"It was well worth it. Clearly the nation spoke and we got what we got."
Asked about his election night, Bosa told reporters on Wednesday: "It was fun. It was a good time, stayed up."
