The San Francisco 49ers are an interesting case of a talented football team that could be nearing the end of their winning window. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has proven to be one of the very best in the league, and as long as he is leading the 49ers, they are going to have a chance to make a run. When quarterback Brock Purdy and the rest of the team are healthy, they are quite good, but that injury bug has plagued them too often over the last couple of years.

In order to keep that winning window open as long as possible, general manager John Lynch must continue to hit on draft picks. The 2026 NFL Draft is another opportunity to replenish the roster, and there is value to be found throughout the seven rounds. In the latest 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft, the 49ers were able to find Purdy a new passing game weapon, as well as an heir apparent to All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams.

Both were accomplished, and then some, during the mock draft.

Round 1, Pick 30: Makai Lemon, WR, USC

Lemon has been outstanding in 2025 for USC, becoming one of the very best playmakers in all of college football. While he makes a majority of his plays from the slot, Lemon has enough explosiveness and physicality to make plays on the outside as well. He’s an all-around playmaker that would be dynamic in the 49er offense.

Round 2, Pick 61: Drew Shelton, OT, Penn State

With Trent Williams nearing the end of his legendary career, someone like Shelton could be the heir apparent at left tackle. He’s also talented enough to at least challenge Colton McKivitz at right tackle at some point as well. Shelton is a gifted athlete who has very real upside as his power profile continues to develop.

Round 3, Pick 94: Tyreak Sapp, EDGE, Florida

Incredibly powerful with outstanding effort, Sapp might never be a high-volume sack artist, but he is also a very important football player. At this point in the draft, you are looking for players who upgrade the room. Sapp is also the type of player who can rush some inside in obvious passing situations.

Round 4, Pick 129: Tacario Davis, CB, Washington

If you think back to the 2023 college football season, Davis was considered one of the top cornerbacks in the country. He struggled mightily in 2024 with Arizona before reuniting with head coach Jeff Fisch this season. At over 6-3 with very long arms, Davis is a really impressive athlete for the position who could be a great value in this spot.

Round 5, Pick 138: Darrell Jackson Jr., DT, Florida State

Jackson is a massive interior defensive lineman who has flashes of big-time moments. He isn’t, however, nearly consistent enough right now and disappears far too often. If you can get Jackson to be the best version of himself more often, there is some starter upside to work with.

Round 5, Pick 139: Raylen Wilson, LB, Georgia

The talent for Wilson is easy to see, but he just hasn’t taken the step most hoped for in 2025. He is a really gifted mover, possessing the foot speed and range to make plays all over the field. There is developmental upside here, but Wilson shouldn’t be depended on for much more than special teams right now.

Round 5, Pick 140: Aaron Anderson, WR, LSU

Anderson has been a bit banged up so far in 2025, but when he’s been healthy over the last couple of years, he’s been tremendous. He’s a smaller wide receiver at around 5-8 and 180 pounds, but Anderson is dynamic after the catch. That’s something that is typically valued in the Kyle Shanahan offense.

Round 6, Pick 192: Eli Raridon, TE, Notre Dame

At over 6-6 and 250 pounds, Raridon is a big athlete who moves extremely well overall. He also has effort as a blocker, which brings a solid baseline as a football player. Medicals will be the big question mark for Raridon with multiple knee injuries in his past.
