It should come as absolutely no surprise that the San Francisco 49ers' Divisional Round matchup with the Green Bay Packers is getting the primetime treatment,

The 49ers learned the identity of their first opponent in the postseason after the Packers surprisingly stomped the second seed Dallas Cowboys in Sunday's Wild Card matchup.

Soon after the Detroit Lions knocked out the Los Angeles Rams in a much closer encounter, the 49ers learned the day and time of their latest postseason meeting with the Packers.

San Francisco will host Green Bay at Levi's Stadium on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

The primetime clash will be broadcast on Fox, with a massive national audience set to tune in to see if the 49ers can live up to their billing of heavy favorites against an extremely dangerous Green Bay offense led by young quarterback Jordan Love, who stunningly dismantled the Cowboys.

It is a game between two of the league's prestige franchises who have a rich playoff history, the 49ers having won the last four games in the postseason following the Packers' dominance of the rivalry in the 1990s and early 2000s, and one that pits two of the most exciting fledgling quarterbacks in the NFL against each other as Brock Purdy looks to outduel Love.

The expectation is that the 49ers will not fall on their face like the Cowboys. However, between the storied nature of the matchup, the players involved and the massive stakes, it is no surprise the game has been picked for primetime even with the anticipation of a comfortable San Francisco win.
