With Brock Purdy back to health and Christian McCaffrey out for the rest of the regular season, the main focus from an injury perspective for the San Francisco 49ers concerns Nick Bosa and Trent Williams.

Former Defensive Player of the Year Bosa (hip/oblique) and All-Pro left tackle Williams (ankle) have each missed the last two games.

And right now it appears they are each poised to miss a third.

Shanahan confirmed in his press conference ahead of Wednesday's practice for the Week 14 clash with the Chicago Bears that neither Bosa nor Williams would take part in practice.

There was some positive news for the Niners, however, with Shanahan revealing Deommodore Lenoir would return to practice after missing the blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills with a knee injury.

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw will also be limited as he edges closer to a return from the Achilles injury he suffered in February's Super Bowl defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, though Shanahan indicated next Thursday's game with the Los Angeles Rams is a more likely venue for his comeback.

Similarly, Talanoa Hufanga will be limited after the 49ers opened his practice window, the safety having missed most of the season with a wrist injury.

However, left guard Aaron Banks and defensive tackle Jordan Elliott remain in the concussion protocol, though the former appears much further along as he was deemed able to practice in full, while backup linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles will not practice due to a knee injury.
