One of the best parts of any professional sport is the trash talk that takes place leading up to (and sometimes during) the games.

The Seattle Seahawks have seen that plenty during the past few years, especially from players with bigger personalities like DK Metcalf.

Here is the bold take that Metcalf had on the Rams before their Week 1 matchup:

Metcalf plays wide receiver. It makes sense that he is going to talk trash about the opposing secondary. It also makes sense because there may be some genuine truth to his words.

As of now, the projected starters for the Rams tomorrow are Ahkello Witherspoon, Cobie Durant, and Derion Kendrick as the corners. The safeties are Jordan Fuller and Russ Yeast.

To be honest, it would be impressive for even a Rams fan to be able to name that entire secondary. That group lacks a huge bit of the prestige that most secondaries throughout the NFL possess.

As for Metcalf saying this. Did it need to be said? No. Does it matter? Hell no.

This group isn't filled with world-beaters. DK Metcalf and the rest of this offense are going to feast tomorrow, bulletin board material for the other team be damned.

It's a bold take for Metcalf to say this out loud, but we can all rest assured that he will back that up.
