Seahawks star gets embarrassed after comments before Rams game

If there is one thing you have to do after taking trash, it's backing it up when push comes to shove. There is nothing worse than talking a big game, unprovoked, and then getting embarrassed on the field.
Unfortunately, that is what happened to DK Metcalf during the embarrassing loss for the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1.
How can you call out the opposing secondary and then see your team get just 112 yards through the air in a bad loss?
Everyone saw Metcalf go after the Rams receivers earlier this week. It seemed funny in the moment, especially when it looked like the Rams were going to get rolled due to their lack of talent in the secondary.
However, whether it was the coaching or the bulletin board material provided by Metcalf personally, this group balled out and shut down the Seattle offense in dramatic fashion.
112 yards through the air with those weapons should be next to impossible. Metcalf alone should've accounted for 112 yards against that group, but he finished with a mere 47 yards.
This should be a massive hit to Metcalf's pride, as well as the pride for the entire Seahawks offense.
Growth needs to happen if this team is going to reach its potential for down the line. Metcalf especially should probably think twice before calling out any other secondaries until this group starts to get going again.
Seahawks implode in second half to lose opener
That was messy.
