The Seattle Seahawks have been a bit busy this week. With training camp just around the corner, they have now locked in their entire rookie class from the 2025 NFL Draft. The NFL has felt the repercussions of some teams signing second-round picks to fully-guaranteed deals. The Seahawks did that with defensive back Nick Emmanwori already.

Seahawks agree to deal with TE Elijah Arroyo

According to Adam Schefter, the Seahawks have signed their second second-round pick. Tight end Elijah Arroyo has been inked to his rookie deal, a four-year deal worth $8.813 million.

#Seahawks officially have their full draft class signed as Elijah Arroyo inks deal with $6.872 million fully guaranteed. Not a 100% fully guaranteed deal like Nick Emmanwori, but really good guarantees regardless. — Corbin Smith

Arroyo is set to play a role for the Seattle offense in his rookie year. Noah Fant and A.J. Barner are still in the fold at TE, but Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak loves to use two tight end sets in his scheme. Arroyo will get opportunities due to his physical prowess and legit downfield ability as a pass catcher.

Sam Darnold is entering his first season as the team's starting quarterback, and spreading the football around will be key to his production for his new team. We will see how quickly Arroyo gets engrained into the offense for Seattle, as tight ends sometimes struggle to adjust in year one in the pros.

That being said, Arroyo was one of the best pure receiving threats in the entire 2025 draft class, regardless of position. He's going to push to play one way or another, and now, he's under contract for Seattle.

On top of excellent movement ability, Arroyo has one of the most efficient catch rates and the second-highest yards after the catch mark in the class. Only three tight ends have a higher average depth of target, but Arroyo's overall profile is more impressive. Plus, teams will love that Arroyo was credited with only one drop this season.
