The Seattle Seahawks are about to be a very fun team when the 2023 season officially starts.

Seattle has gone through a bit of a hard time after Russell Wilson departed and division rivals took steps forward, but it seems like it is about to be Seattle's time in the sun again.

The Seahawks have become a dominant team in part due to some great draft picks, and the top pick for Seattle this season isn't even set to play in the first game. That is a problem.

Witherspoon not playing in Week 1 has been obvious for a few weeks now, but it still doesn't make it any better for Seattle.

In truth, these early reps for the rookie were going to be extremely important for development at the NFL level, and every week on the bench with an injury is only going to set Witherspoon back from where he could be at the end of the season in reps where he will need to look every bit of an NFL starter.

The Seahawks were not alone in loving Witherspoon as an NFL prospect. At this point, they just need him to get healthy and back on the field, and the same can be said for a number of other important defensive starters for Seattle.

Hopefully he will be back soon.
