The Seattle Seahawks are in an interesting position as they sit on their bye week.

Between a huge win over the Lions, dominance over the Giants, and a bit of a disappointing loss to a Rams team that is proving more scrappy than initially believed, the Seahawks have been able to overcome some shaky moments to prove they are actually a very good, playoff-ready team.

The only issue that has slowed this group down has been a slight problem with injuries, but the bye has hit at a perfect time to ensure this roster is close enough to healthy by next week to keep the momentum going through the rest of the season to finish strong.

While many fans bemoaned the early bye when it was announced a few months back, this could actually end up working better for the Seahawks than initially believed.

Sure, it would be nice to have a bye later in the season to get healthy when it really matters and when guys start going down in greater numbers, but the truth of the matter is this has already been an issue for Seattle.

The secondary hasn't been 100% for a single game this year. Jamal Adams came back for a handful of reps before he was out again. The DBs aren't alone in their issue with this problem, but they have been what hurts the team the most with their loss.

Even Geno Smith has missed reps, but it did help in that situation that Drew Lock was ready to step in and help with the load.

Regardless, a rest of sorts is needed. While most teams would be upset about the early bye before this point, Seattle is assuredly happy that they have a chance to get everyone back to as close to 100% as possible and recalibrate before the larger chunk of their schedule, a schedule that will see them face off against several playoff teams.

Getting right now matters more. Assuming this week works for the better and the Seahawks get their guys back, this team is going to be very hard to stop come November and December.
