Love him or hate him, it is hard to defend the product that Russell Wilson has put on the field over the last few years.

The Broncos era of the Wilson career has been, for lack of a less extreme word, horrific. It has been so bad that many people are rethinking Wilson's legacy overall, and that may not slow down.

Wilson is currently in the midst of another terrible game for the Broncos in a struggling effort against the Chiefs. It just keeps on making that famous trade look all the better for Seattle.

That trade was something in the moment. The Seahawks were shredded by some for moving on from one of the most important players in franchise history.

However, not only was Seattle able to get a mountain of picks and cap space, but it also appears they sold the old care before it finally broke down.

Russell Wilson looks lost. His play has been a mess, and it isn't from a lack of talent or a lack of coaching. Despite having one of the best offensive head coaches in league history and excellent weapons, the Broncos are just bad.

The losses are starting to stack up in a dramatic fashion, and even a few good stat lines aren't enough to save Wilson's image.

Games like that one going on now are just too much to stomach. The product is bad, and Wilson is looking like he might be over the hill in a bad way.

Seahawks fans obviously shouldn't be rooting for something like this, but it does sure make the franchise look better to have the situation play out like this rather than Wilson leaving, Seattle not finding a replacement, and the picks not panning out.

The Seahawks look like playoff locks. The Broncos don't. It is clear who won that trade.
