The Seattle Seahawks have been a little streaky so far to begin the season. That was to be expected.
While the top few teams in the NFC are dominant, Seattle currently sits somewhere just outside of the top echelon with a chance to earn their way in through a difficult, gritty season.
The Seahawks are now in the thick of it. With a win over a great team in the Lions and losses to questionable Rams and Bengals teams, the Hawks still have a bit of proving to do before they move into that favored group atop the conference. That starts with the game versus the Cardinals this Sunday.
Playing the Cardinals has "trap game" written all over it. For a team that was supposed to be the worst in the NFL by a healthy margin according to most accounts, Arizona has put up a surprising fight against quality competition more than once this year.
The Seahawks don't want to be like the Cowboys. Instead of getting punched in the mouth early and letting surprise derail the game, Seattle needs to come out firing and gain the initiative before it turns into a dog fight.
Any team can win any game in the NFL. That much has been proven over and over again this year. Just look at the Browns beating the 49ers while missing their starting quarterback. It could be more than easy to write the Cardinals off now, but the Seahawks can't let that happen.
The Seahawks need a win, a dominant win in fact when you consider it is a division game and the Rams already have some ammunition in the race. That is on the table, and it should be the only goal for the Seahawks this weekend.
A convincing win here would go a long way to showing that Seattle does deserve a spot amongst the obvious playoff contenders in the NFC. There can be no other way for this game to go if the Seahawks want to emphatically prove that.
One Saints’ player poised to dominate Seahawks in Week 5
The New Orleans Saints have to get it together on offense. This week, that could start with one player against the Seattle Seahawks. This player has had a lot of success against the Seahawks in his career with the Saints. Last year, he dominated them. They need him to repeat that again this season. That […]
