There aren’t many teams in the NFL that feel better about the first nine weeks of the season than the Seattle Seahawks. They decided to make a full offensive overhaul this offseason, and it’s paid off big, with Sam Darnold appearing to be a major upgrade from Geno Smith.

Their success has led to a 6-2 record, and an NFL insider has his eyes on them to potentially make one of the most shocking moves ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

Jordan Schultz thinks the Seahawks could make a ‘holy crap’ type of move ahead of the trade deadline

NFL insider Jordan Schultz has been sharing interesting tidbits about multiple teams in the league ahead of the trade deadline. And on the final day for trades this season, he had something to share about the Seahawks.

He shared that he’s watching two teams today that could potentially pull off a trade, and he would respond with “holy crap.” Obviously, this is an exciting thing to hear if you are a Seahawks fan. The question, though, is what does this even mean?

Schultz mentioned the Seahawks and Denver Broncos. So would this be two separate trades or a deal they pull off together? Both of these teams are clear contenders right now and should be buyers, so we can rule out them pulling off such a deal together.

Who could the Seahawks be targeting? Offensive line upgrades could make sense, but I doubt that move would spark a “holy crap” reaction. The big swing that they could go for would likely be an edge rusher. Could the Seahawks front office pull off a deal for a disgruntled edge rusher such as Myles Garrett, Maxx Crosby, or Trey Hendrickson?

If they do, they would catapult up Super Bowl odds lists, and people would have no choice but to take them seriously as true contenders this season.
