Preseason game #2 is in the books for the Seattle Seahawks, and Pete Carroll and company finally have an even better idea of who they are taking into what should be a very exciting regular season.

The Seahawks look like they have become a good bit better on the defensive side of the ball, and a great offense has only become all the more difficult to stop with the addition of players like Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Opposing teams are sure to be paying attention, and every defensive coordinator with a brain is going to focus on how they can try to slow down this team with JSN on it, because stopping it really isn't an option.

JSN didn't get a ton of play in the first preseason game, and while he still wasn't a massive focal point last night, he was able to do plenty with the reps he received.

Three catches for 58 yards with a very long reception that nearly went for a touchdown showed the NFL all they needed to see with just how fast Smith-Njigba can make a difference. He simply makes plays; it doesn't matter that he won't live with the ball in his hands.

That's the beauty of the Seattle offense as it is constructed. Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf are going to draw plenty of attention from opposing defenses due to their big play ability. When you add in a great running back in Kenneth Walker, it is almost impossible for a secondary to have the right guys on the field to stop JSN too.

That should leave the rookie to do exactly what he did last night; carve up depth DBs. It wasn't hard for JSN last night, and it probably won't be hard for him in the regular season either with so few deep corner rooms, especially in the NFC West.

It is going to be a fun year for the Seahawks on offense, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is going to be a huge reason why.

Don't rule out Rookie of the Year just yet. The cards are falling in a way that could make that more of a possibility than some would expect.
