Following the 2023 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks boast a number of quality players on the roster, but that doesn't mean the team is perfect.

In fact, the Seahawks are far from it.

Despite walking away with a talented crop of players, Sports Illustrated listed tight end, interior offensive line, and pass rusher as still key areas of concern moving into the post-draft free agency period.

"The Seahawks are set at wideout with the arrival of Jaxon Smith-Njigba to go with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett," Sports Illustrated writes. "Quarterback Geno Smith, however, needs more production from tight ends Noah Fant and Will Dissly. Interior offensive line could also be an issue with mixed results last season. Also, edge rusher appears thin after Uchenna Nwosu, but perhaps second-round pick Derick Hall will help with that."

SI's assessment of Seattle's needs could be a function of the outlet underrating the defensive talent the Seahawks walked away with. Pete Carroll is a big fan of Derick Hall, a pass-rusher out of Auburn. He praised his technical ability and his leadership following the draft. Hall may not be an NFL superstar in Week 1, but he has the potential to enjoy a long and productive career.

Seattle also walked away with Cameron Young. He's a defender that won't jump off the screen, but he does enough good things to project that he will also be productive in the NFL. The key uncertainty in his game comes down to where on the defensive front he will play. He isn't going to blow up the backfield, but he can solidly defend against the run and is good in contain.

But, if the Seahawks elect to take SI's advice and attempt to fill the predicted holes, there are still a number of quality free agents on the market. Some names include Los Angeles Rams' recent castoff Leonard Floyd and former Seattle draft pick Frank Clark.

On the offensive line, Tennessee Titans center Ben Jones remains a free agent, along with Washington Commanders guard Trai Turner. Both would boost Seattle's depth.

Lastly, notable tight ends looking for new homes include former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cameron Brate and Kyle Rudolph.
