Seattle Seahawks roster reset: Key gaps filled in a big way
A full look at the Seattle Seahawks roster after the NFL Draft.
The Seattle Seahawks used the 2023 NFL Draft to add skill to the cornerback position, a slot receiver, and depth at the running back position, and in the later rounds, the team shored up its interior offensive line and defensive front.
It's safe to say, Seattle go the most out of its chances at each selection. It wasn't a perfect draft, but the Seahawks recouped enough talent to head into the late summer confident about who will be on the roster moving forward.
Here's a look at an updated Seahawks roster. Note: Single asterisks (*) represent 2023 draft picks and double asterisks (**) represent undrafted free agents.
Quarterback
- Holton Ahlers**
- Drew Lock
- Geno Smith
The quarterback room remained largely unchanged. It is apparent that Seattle believes in Geno Smith. They granted him the extension he was looking for and they didn't use one of their top selections on the several quarterbacks that were available. Drew Lock is also returning on a one-year deal, and he offers continuity in the quarterback room and competent backup play should Smith miss time in the 2023 season.
Running back
- Nick Bellore (FB)
- Zach Charbonnet*
- DeeJay Dallas
- Kenny McIntosh*
- Chris Smith**
- Kenneth Walker III
Wide receiver
- Jake Bobo**
- D'Wayne Eskridge
- John Hall**
- Cade Johnson
- Matt Landers**
- Tyjon Lindsey**
- Tyler Lockett
- DK Metcalf
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba*
- Cody Thompson
- Dareke Young
Tight end
- Will Dissly
- Noah Fant
- Noah Gindorff**
- Tyler Mabry
- Colby Parkinson
Offensive lineman
- Anthony Bradford*
- Evan Brown
- Charles Cross
- Jake Curhan
- Greg Eiland
- Stone Forsythe
- Phil Haynes
- Joey Hunt
- Damien Lewis
- Abraham Lucas
- Jalen McKenzie
- Olusegun Oluwatimi*
The offensive line received help from the draft selections of Anthony Bradford and Olusegun Oluwatimi, but the starting group most likely won't be decided until a few training camp battles take place. It is easy to see Bradford taking Evan Brown's spot from last season. But more than anything, Seattle needs improvement from its offensive line all around.

Defensive lineman
- Myles Adams
- M.J. Anderson**
- Robert Cooper**
- Dre'Mont Jones
- Ifeanyi Maijeh**
- Bryan Mone
- Mike Morris*
- Jarran Reed
- Jonah Tavai**
- Cameron Young*
Linebackers
- Robert Barnes**
- Cam Bright**
- Jordyn Brooks
- Devin Bush Jr.
- Chris Garrett
- Derick Hall*
- Vi Jones
- Boye Mafe
- Uchenna Nwosu
- Patrick O’Connell**
- Joshua Onujiogu
- Jon Rhattigan
- Alton Robinson
- Tyreke Smith
- Jonathan Sunderland**
- Darrell Taylor
- Bobby Wagner
The linebackers in Seattle feature an intense amount of versatility. With the return of Bobby Wagner, there is the expectation that the linebacking play will be improved, but that isn't a guarantee. A better sense of how the linebackers will shape up will be seen come training camp.
Defensive backs
- Jamal Adams
- Joey Blount
- Lance Boykin**
- Arquon Bush**
- Tre Brown
- Coby Bryant
- James Campbell**
- Quandre Diggs
- Isaiah Dunn
- Mike Jackson Sr.
- Julian Love
- Ty Okada**
- Jerrick Reed II*
- Devon Witherspoon*
- Tariq Woolen
- Christian Young**
The various defensive backs on Seattle's roster make things interesting. The Seahawks used their top-five pick on Devon Witherspoon, who will lineup opposite Tariq Woolen. Then there is the return of Jamal Adams, who missed most of last season with an injury. The potential is there with this group. Now, it comes down to whether they live up to it.

Special teams
- Michael Dickson
- Jason Myers
- Chris Stoll**
The Seahawks answered the big special-teams question of the offseason early by re-signing Myers to a four-year deal. Myers had another standout year, hitting 34 of 37 field goals, including making all six from 50 and beyond to tie a team record, and 41 of 42 point-after attempts. There is no reason to believe he can't do it again.
