Seahawks star could reach new heights in 2023

The Seattle Seahawks have a very clear identity on offense: run the football and then let a remarkably-consistent Geno Smith pick you apart through the air.
If this sounds a little bit like it comes from a different era of the sport, it does, but it is hard to argue with the results from last season, especially when you look at how well the Seahawks were able to mask a bad offensive line and a new starter at quarterback.
Assuming the team attacks opposing defenses from the same angle in 2023, you can rest assured that running back Kenneth Walker is going to get a mountain of touches, and that should propel him into a new standing amongst running backs in the league.
In an NFL that doesn't really value the run as much as it used to, the Seahawks always seem like they lead the pack when investing in the position. This landed Kenneth Walker in a selection that looked like a steal in the moment, and a year of proof shows the world that this was always the case.
Walker finished his rookie campaign with 1,215 total yards and nine touchdowns, a line that looks great when compared to other guys in similar positions, and the possibilities of an even further explosion in 2023 grow by the day.
Despite starting training camp with an injury, Walker is in an excellent position to match and possibly exceed his production from last season, especially if Smith and the passing attack remain as lethal as they were and the offensive line takes the necessary steps forward.
Assuming these likely changes (or maintains) occur, Walker should emerge as one of the best running backs in the NFL in 2023. An All-Pro selection could be on the table, especially in a weaker NFC. The Pro Bowl should be the bare minimum.
While player awards may not be the only goal in a team sport, Walker is one of those very bright spots on the roster that will absolutely deserve any and all flowers he receives, and you can bet on the fact that he will receive those flowers this year.
