'Consistent' has not been the way that most people would describe the Seattle Seahawks to start the 2023 season.

With moments of good and moments of equal bad peppered throughout the quarter-sized sample, it is clear that consistency is the biggest piece that is holding this team back from being one of the best in the NFC.

A huge part of this lack of consistency has been due to Jamal Adams and his injuries and outbursts. In a move that won't surprise anyone that has followed this team this year, Adams has just earned a fine from a move that caused most fans to roll their eyes.

Seahawks fans have sadly had plenty of reasons to roll their eyes at moments from Adams this season. Again, it comes back to consistency. Adams' play has been good, but a bone-headed tackle to get injured again and two clear arguments with medical staffs on the sidelines have painted Adams in the wrong light.

It appeared as though Adams was able to escape a fine from yelling at the staff during his season return, but a recent verbal altercation with the medical staff in the loss versus the Bengals has finally landed Adams a deserved fine.

A $50,000 fine isn't an easy one to shrug off.

Again, this shouldn't come as a surprise. Yelling at anyone on the sideline isn't the kind of behavior that a team needs from its highest-paid and most-recognizable player.

This is, unfortunately, just the next in a string of occurrences that simply can't happen for a player that is as good as Adams.

The star for the Seahawks needs to make a change to leave him in a position where he can better-lead this team.
