The loss today is going to sting for the Seattle Seahawks. That game was absolutely winnable, and losing in the end to a team that still hasn't regained its identity is going to hurt for a while.
The good news for most of the Seahawks players is that the sting of this loss should wear off in a few days. The bad news is that one player is going to have a bad day coming up based on his actions in this game.
Starting wide receiver DK Metcalf probably has another fine in his future after another boneheaded move in this losing affair.
DK Metcalf has created an identity as one of the dirtiest players in the NFL. Whether it is hitting after a play or taking cheap shots at guys that don't see him coming, Metcalf continues to put himself in a position to earn unnecessary fines.
That almost assuredly happened again today.
Plays like this have become far too common for Metcalf. A fine is absolutely on its way.
As one of the most-penalized players in the NFL, this is just going to keep reinforcing a negative view of Metcalf that is starting to become warranted.
This is a mistake. The star wide receiver is going to pay the price. A change absolutely needs to happen in how DK Metcalf carries himself on the field.
