Silly things happen after tough losses. That seems to be what is happening for some fans of the Seattle Seahawks after the loss to the Bengals.
The Bengals are a better team than many people give them credit for after their slow start. This loss wasn't as bad as many believed, but it has still caused them to propose some strange trade ideas.
No, the Seahawks aren't trading DK Metcalf, even if he does make dirty plays far too often.
The thought that Seattle would move off one of the best wide receivers in the NFL due to a handful of penalties is just silly, even if the penalties themselves are a little bone-headed.
Metcalf simply brings far too much to the position and the offense to move on from him for any small reason.
One of the most athletic, physically-gifted receivers to ever play the game on an offense that also has two other stellar wide receivers is simply a cheat code. The Seattle offense is as scary as it is in large part due to the threat that Metcalf brings by lining up on the field, and moving on from him for any level of picks due to behavior would only leave the Seahawks in a worse position.
This may be a bit of a spoiler for some fans that aren't happy with his performance, but Metcalf isn't getting traded due to his penalties.
The move is just silly, and it would be wise fo fans to put that notion out of their heads quickly.
Seahawks’ ailing secondary is set to get much healthier in Week 4
They’ll be in much better shape.
