Many fans, players, and those tied to the NFL have been arguing against preseason games in recent years. Seattle Seahawks fans are seeing just why tonight.

An early injury to depth wide receiver Dee Eskridge is not how anyone wanted to see the preseason start for Seattle.

He may not be slotted to become a starter, but this is still not a good start for the Seahawks when their offense is going to be such a focal point in 2023.

In truth, the early suspension of Eskridge may soften the blow of such a potential loss, but it is still worth saying that this was going to be a big offseason for Eskridge as he tried to show that he can be a part of this roster for the future.

As it stands, it looks like this may not be as bad as it initially seemed, but this could still complicate matters for the young receiver in a wide receiver room that is going to be extremely competitive.

Hopefully the injury ends up being minor.

Either way, the Seahawks are going to need to start planning for some time without Eskridge for one reason or another.
