Well, the Jamal Adams return to the Seattle Seahawks was fun for all of nine plays.

After a a few reps where it seemed a year away from the sport hadn't slowed Adams down too much, a terrible-form tackle took the former Pro Bowler out of the game after he led with his head and effectively ended his return.

At this point, Adams just can't stay healthy, and the Seahawks have to accept this contract for what it is; one of the worst on the team.

The hype that surrounded Jamal Adams when he arrived in Seattle is gone. Gone is the player that was able to post double-digit sacks from an unconventional position. Now, Adams is simply an injury-prone drain on resources for the Seahawks.

With a mountain of dead money attached to his contract paired with an injury-riddled history, Adams is doing nothing to justify Seattle's decision to invest so much in his future.

If this injury was similar to the last one in that it wasn't Adams' fault, that would be one thing. But this tackle was absolutely terrible, and there is no excuse to make a play like that when injuries have already been such a major concern in Adams' game.

Seahawks fans should be sick of it by this point. Not that there is much for the franchise to do to get away from such a contract, but it is hard to look on this current deal with much optimism for the time being.
