While the NFL preseason can sometimes be a massive pain to watch and keep up with, one of the best parts of this stretch of the year is watching guys earn roles in the NFL.

Undrafted guys make names for themselves every year and make it impossible for the team to cut them, and it looks like that is what's happening to the Seattle Seahawks with wide receiver Jake Bobo.

There is almost no way the team can cut him now, even if he did look like one of the least-athletic wide receivers ever based on his measurables.

Bobo may have run a 4.99 40-yard dash, which is almost unheard of in an era where linemen can get under 5.00 easily, but that lack of speed doesn't show up on the field.

The Seahawks were able to sign an excellent route runner that has been able to make up for his lack of speed with crisp routes and violent cuts, and that has been good enough for Bobo to become one of the most productive wide receivers in the preseason.

While stats in the preseason aren't everything, especially when most of the starters don't play, Bobo's five receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown tell the story of a guy that is far more than his athleticism.

There is one game remaining before Seattle has to start making some difficult decisions, but it sure seems like it would take a major dud from Bobo in the final game to keep him off the 53-man roster as a solid depth receiver on a team with one of the best starting trios in the NFL.

If Jaxon Smith-Njigba really is going to miss time at the start of the season, there is a very real chance that Seahawks fans could see this scrappy, undrafted free agent on the field for a Seattle team that will be a very real playoff contender from the jump.
